- Put eggs in a large pan and cover with cold water. Bring to boil and immediately remove from heat.
- Cover and let eggs stand in water for 10 minutes. Remove eggs from water.
- Cool and peel.
- Cut eggs in half lengthwaise and remove yolks.
- Place yolks in a bowl and mix with mayonnaise, mustard, salt, and pepper.
- Fill the egg whites with the egg yolk mixture.
- Sprinkle with paprika and cooked bacon, if desired.
- Keep refrigerated until serving.
